On the Essential Role of Government

Governments are formed by the people in order to protect their rights in a way they can not do on their own. This is the fundamental foundation for a populace allowing itself to be ruled by an entity other than itself. These rights to be protected have long been established by great men before us, being those of life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. Being necessary in an animalistic society, the people endow upon a governing body the ability to justly protect these rights from dismissal or abolition.

At present, men of ill-fated ideal attempt to distort the protection of these rights to create a government which works to ease the lives of the majority and those governing, rather than to foster opportunity breeding natural competition. The world is not a level arena, nor should men of sound mental faculty desire for it to be, as those with little ability or wit cannot be brought up to the footing of great men by any other means than the suppression of those great men.
